This is a fascinating analysis from The Wall Street Journal about how e-books might transform the publishing industry. It's not the first e-book reader but with mass adoption, clearly the iPad could be the catalyst for such a revolution.
I've always been a fan of books as a physical form, like music captured on vinyl records, but I don't think we should be afraid of change. If this means we get to consume more great literature as we now can with music I think the world might be changing for the better.
